A competition to test out your quant skills. Your task is to build a model to predict the future daily return. The model that makes the most money wins. You are given a time series of daily prices and must predict tomorrow's return.
Your model must maximize the average trade return. The higher the average trade return, the more money your model predicts well.
Trade return is calculated as your model's signal * realized daily return. The signal can be 1 (long), 0 (no trade), or -1 (short).
